What is Shadarobah?

Shadarobah means “May The Future Be Better Than The Past.” in a Native American tongue.

Shadarobah Horse Rescue was founded in the fall of 2008 and since then we have seen over 60 horses come through our doors, finding loving homes for many of them.

Shadarobah strives to take in horses that are in need of homes due to neglect, abuse, poor economic conditions, and those sent to be slaughtered. We nurture and nourish these beautiful animals, many of which have been through very traumatic situations, and most of which are very malnourished. We share our horses with all who wish to spend time with them, and share their love. We want to spread the word to everyone we can reach about the tragedies man has imposed upon horses!
